Rook Piercing made according to anatomy.
The Rook piercing is made in the upper inner fold of the ear cartilage, above the tragus.
The thickness of the cartilage, the depth of the fold, and the available space influence the positioning and type of suitable jewellery.
Rook Jewellery
For this type of piercing, curved barbells or hoops are frequently used, chosen according to anatomy and initial inflammation.
After the area stabilises, the jewellery can be changed to a finer model, a minimalist hoop, or a piece with crystals.
Healing of the Rook Piercing
The indicative period is about 2 months, but complete cartilage healing can take between 3 and 6 months.
During this time, it is important to avoid pressure, sleeping on the side with the piercing, and premature jewellery changes.
