Tattoo healing.
Does the tattoo hurt?
Pain varies from person to person and from one area to another.
How painful is a tattoo?
Pain depends on the tattooed area, session duration, individual sensitivity, fatigue, stress and each person's tolerance. Some areas are perceived as a vibration or bearable sting, while others can be considerably more sensitive.
Pain is not the same for everyone.
The same tattoo, done in the same area, can be perceived very differently by two people.
What influences the pain?

The choice of area matters.
Areas with more soft tissue tend to be easier to tolerate than areas close to bone.
Discuss size, positioning and estimated session duration with the artist before booking.
Where to get tattooed?
The choice of area should be made based on visibility, body shape, design size, evolution over time and personal pain tolerance.
Head, neck and face
These areas are very visible and require careful decision. Scalp tattoos involve shaving or cutting hair, and facial tattoos significantly change appearance and can influence how you are perceived.
Chest, sternum and ribs
The chest offers space for symmetrical compositions, but the sternum and ribs can be more sensitive due to proximity to bone and movement caused by breathing.
Abdomen, hips, thighs and buttocks
These areas provide generous surfaces for large designs. Significant weight changes can alter the tattoo's proportions.
Arms, forearms and legs
These are frequently chosen areas as they allow both small tattoos and extensive compositions. Pain levels vary depending on proximity to the elbow, knee, ankle or other bony areas.

Risks and medical investigations.
Allergic reactions, infections, abnormal scarring or other complications are rare when the procedure and care are correct, but cannot be completely excluded. People with tattoos or permanent makeup must inform medical staff before an MRI scan.
Tattoo care.
- Respect the period indicated by the artist for removing the foil or bandage.
- Gently wash the area with lukewarm water and a mild product, then dry by patting.
- Apply a thin layer of the product recommended by the artist.
- Do not use perfumes, alcohol, harsh creams or antibiotics without medical recommendation.
- Avoid long baths, swimming pools, saunas and swimming until healed.
- Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds.
- Do not pick scabs or scratch the area.
- Contact the artist or doctor if unusual signs appear.
