Who should give up
for the much-desired piercing?
Situations where the procedure should be postponed, reassessed, or discussed with a doctor.
Who should consult a doctor beforehand?
People with heart disease, diabetes, low immunity, coagulation disorders, chronic treatments, known metal allergies, or dermatological conditions should discuss with a doctor before getting a piercing. In some cases, the procedure should be postponed, not necessarily abandoned permanently.
Not all bodies react the same.
General condition, treatments, anatomy, allergies, and healing capacity can completely change the recommendation.
What needs to be checked.

A correct piercing starts with a proper evaluation.
Before the procedure, anatomy, chosen area, relevant medical history, and jewellery type must be analysed.
The studio uses surgical steel jewellery and adapts the initial size according to the area.
When the procedure should be postponed.
Piercing should be postponed in case of active infection, fever, altered general condition, local injury, severe irritation, or when medical treatment increases bleeding risk or delays healing.
Heart diseases and heart surgeries
People with congenital heart defects, heart surgeries, or other significant heart conditions must consult a doctor beforehand.
Diabetes and lowered immunity
Uncontrolled diabetes and conditions that reduce immunity can increase the risk of infection and prolong healing.
Medications and coagulation
Some medications can affect coagulation, circulation, or the healing process. Do not stop any treatment without your doctor's recommendation.
Metal allergies
Any known allergy must be communicated before the procedure. Irritation can be caused by the material, pressure, friction, or inappropriate size of the jewellery.
Before the procedure, you can also consult the page about choosing jewellery for piercing, as well as the guide How a piercing is done.
